For matches between Tuesday 31 December and Sunday 5 January trains will run as normal with regular services to Lidcombe where you can connect with shuttle trains to Olympic Park.
Trackwork from Saturday 28 to Monday 30 December between Parramatta, Lidcombe and Olympic Park may affect how you travel to and from the matches. Plan your trip and allow extra travel time.
- If you're travelling from the west on T1 and T2 Line services, buses replace trains between Parramatta, Lidcombe and Olympic Park. You will need to catch a replacement bus to complete your journey to Olympic Park.
- If you're travelling from the City, trains continue to run directly to Olympic Park.
- If you’re travelling from the Blue Mountains, change at Penrith for an express bus to Olympic Park.
If you have to drive, travel with your group and pre-book your parking online – available until 11:59pm the night before the event.

Match Ticket Entitlements
Valid pre-purchased tickets to the United Cup Tennis Tournament held at Ken Rosewall Arena (Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre) from Saturday 28 December 2024 to Sunday 5 January 2025 (inclusive) includes travel on the following transport services, just show your event ticket to Transport staff when boarding services:
- Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink Intercity services (non-booked services bounded by Bomaderry, Goulburn, Bathurst, Scone and Dungog stations.
- Sydney Metro services
- Sydney and Newcastle Light rail services
For travel on buses and ferries, you will need to use an Opal card or contactless payment method. See below for more information. United Cup volunteers are also entitled to these travel inclusions.
Remember to keep your event ticket safe for your return journey or you'll need to use your Opal card, as you must have a valid ticket when travelling on public transport. Your match ticket is valid on trains until 4am the following day.
Note: an additional train station access fee applies for travel to or from Domestic and International Airport stations. The access fee is not covered by your event ticket travel entitlements.
Opal
You can use an Opal card for all modes of public transport in Sydney and surrounding regions, including metro, trains, buses, ferries and light rail.
Remember to top up your Opal card before you travel to avoid waiting in line at top-up machines. You can top up your card online or at an Opal retailer.
More ways to pay
If you have a contactless-enabled American Express, Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card, or a linked device, you can use it to pay for your travel by tapping on and tapping off at Opal card readers. Available on all public transport, contactless payments are another way to pay on the Opal network. Adult Opal fare pricing applies and you will receive Opal benefits, including daily and weekly fare caps.
Transport Park&Ride Car Parks
Park for free when you catch public transport. Transport Park&Ride provides up to 18 hours of free parking each day. All you have to do is complete a public transport trip. Located close to public transport hubs, Park&Ride car parks help you connect more easily to train, bus and ferry services.
Tickets to United Cup Tennis matches includes travel on trains and free Park&Ride parking. When leaving the car park use the intercom button at the exit gate to speak with the operator and show your event ticket.
If you use a Transport Connect account to access Park&Ride, the boom gate will automatically open as you leave the car park so you’ll need to request a refund in your account.

Sydney Metro services are high-frequency, driverless trains running between Sydney’s north-west and south-west via the city.
The M1 Line operates turn up-and-go Metro services in both directions between Tallawong, Chatswood and Sydenham. Metro services start running from early morning, every 5 to 10 minutes, until late at night.
Change at Epping or Central to connect with train services towards Olympic Park.

- T1 Western Line: Buses replace trains between Parramatta and Olympic Park. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Penrith or Richmond and Leppington, and between Olympic Park and the City. Change at Parramatta for buses towards Olympic Park, or at Glenfield for trains to the City via the Airport. Trains also run between Liverpool and the City via Regents Park. Change trains at Cabramatta. On Sunday from 10.40pm to 2am, buses replace all trains between Blacktown and Olympic Park. Trains run between Penrith or Richmond and Blacktown only.
- T2 Inner West & Leppington Line: Buses replace trains between Parramatta and Olympic Park. Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington and Penrith or Richmond, between Liverpool and the City via Regents Park, and between Olympic Park and the City. Change at Glenfield for trains to the City via the Airport; change at Liverpool for trains to the City via Regents Park; or change at Parramatta for buses towards Olympic Park.
- T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: Trains run to a changed timetable between Liverpool and the City via Regents Park.
- T5 Cumberland Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Penrith or Richmond and Leppington.
- T7 Olympic Park Line: Buses replace trains between Olympic Park, Lidcombe and Parramatta. Trains run between Olympic Park and the City.
- Blue Mountains Line: Trains run between Blue Mountains Line stations and Blacktown only. Change at Penrith for express buses to Olympic Park. T1 Western Line trains run between Penrith, Blacktown and Leppington. Buses replace trains between Parramatta and Olympic Park. Trains from Blacktown to Blue Mountains Line stations run 30 minutes later than normal.
- Central Coast & Newcastle Line: Due to trackwork at Central, platforms 1-12, most trains run between Central Coast & Newcastle Line stations and Strathfield only, some to a changed timetable or stopping pattern. Change at Epping for metro services to the City or change trains at Strathfield to continue your journey. Some late night and early morning trains run around the City Circle. On Monday, morning and afternoon peak hour trains continue to run to and from the City via the T1 North Shore Line.
- South Coast Line: Due to trackwork at Central, platforms 1-12, trains run between South Coast Line stations and Bondi Junction only. Some trains run around the City Circle.
- Southern Highlands Line: Due to trackwork at Central, platforms 1-12, trains run between Southern Highlands Line stations and Campbelltown only. Change trains at Campbelltown to continue your journey.
Weekend – Saturday 28 & Sunday 29 December 2024
- T2 Inner West & Leppington Line: On Sunday from 11.50pm to 2am, buses replace all trains between Cabramatta and Olympic Park via Granville. Trains run between Leppington and Liverpool only. T3 trains will not run between Liverpool and the City via Regents Park. Extra trains run between Liverpool and Bankstown only.
- T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: On Sunday from 11.50pm to 2am, trains will not run between Liverpool and the City via Regents Park. Trains run between Liverpool and Bankstown only. Buses replace T2 trains between Cabramatta and Olympic Park via Granville, and T6 trains between Bankstown and Olympic Park. Trains run between Olympic Park and the City.
- T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: Daily from 6.30am to 12.15pm, some trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern. Some trains start or end at Hurstville or Sutherland. You may need to change trains to continue your journey. Trains may leave from different platforms, please check indicator screens before boarding. On Sunday from 1pm to 4pm, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek, but make an extra stop at Arncliffe. Buses run between Sydenham, Wolli Creek and Arncliffe. Change at Arncliffe or Sydenham for a bus to Wolli Creek. T8 Airport & South Line trains to and from the City continue to stop at Wolli Creek.
- T5 Cumberland Line: On Sunday from 10.40pm to 2am, buses replace all trains between Blacktown or Cabramatta and Olympic Park via Granville. - T7 Olympic Park Line: On Sunday from 10.40pm to 2am, buses replace trains between Olympic Park and Blacktown or Cabramatta.
- South Coast Line: Daily from 6.30am to 12.15pm, some trains make extra stops between Sutherland and Hurstville. On Sunday from 1pm to 4pm, trains will not stop at Wolli Creek but will make extra stops at Arncliffe and Sydenham. Buses run between Sydenham, Wolli Creek and Arncliffe. Change at Arncliffe or Sydenham for a bus to Wolli Creek.

- T1 Western Line: Penrith trains make an extra stop at Burwood. Richmond trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Richmond and Liverpool. Change at Parramatta for trains towards the City. On Sunday from 6.30am to 10.30am, Penrith trains also make an extra stop at Ashfield.
- T2 Leppington & Inner West Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington and the City via Granville or Regents Park. On Sunday from 6.20am to 10.30am, buses replace Inner West trains between Ashfield and Central. Leppington trains make extra stops at Homebush and Croydon. Some T1 Western Line trains also make an extra stop at Burwood.
- T3 Liverpool & Inner West Line: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington and the City via Regents Park. On Sunday from 6.20am to 10.30am, buses replace Inner West trains between Ashfield and Central. Leppington trains make extra stops at Homebush and Croydon. Some T1 Western Line trains also make an extra stop at Burwood.
- T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: On Saturday from 4am to 11.30am, buses replace trains between Waterfall and Sutherland. Trains run between Cronulla, Sutherland and Bondi Junction, some to a changed timetable.
- T9 Northern Line: Buses replace trains between Hornsby and Strathfield. Trains run to a changed timetable between Strathfield and the City. Frequent metro services run between Epping and the City.
- Central Coast & Newcastle Line: Buses replace trains between Newcastle Interchange and Hornsby. T1 North Shore Line trains run between Hornsby and the City, some to a changed timetable. Buses also replace trains on the T9 Northern Line.
- South Coast Line: On Saturday from 3am to 11am, buses replace trains between Port Kembla and Wollongong, and between Dapto and Sutherland. Trains run between Bomaderry, Kiama and Dapto, to a changed timetable. On Sunday from 2.30am to 9.50am, buses replace trains between Bomaderry and Wollongong. You may need to change buses to continue your journey. Trains run between Port Kembla, Wollongong and Bondi Junction, some to a changed timetable. The 2.39am Kiama to Bondi Junction service will run up to 24 minutes earlier than the normal timetable from Kiama to Coniston, then run to the normal timetable from Wollongong to Bondi Junction.

The closest wharf to Ken Rosewall Arena is Sydney Olympic Park Wharf. There is a connecting 526 bus to the venue or alternatively it is approximately a 40-minute walk (3.6km) from the wharf.
F3 Parramatta River services run regularly to Olympic Park, but services are very popular and may reach capacity. Keep this in mind if you’re planning on catching an F3 Parramatta River service. Travel with your group and allow extra travel time on the M4, Parramatta Road, Homebush Bay Drive and Concord Road.
If you have to drive, carpool with your group pre-book your parking online ahead of time to secure a space – available until 11:59pm the night before the event unless sold out prior.
To get to your carpark and avoid the heavy traffic congestion expected at the Homebush Bay Drive roundabout, use Silverwater Road, Holker Street and Hill Road.

If you’re using taxis or rideshare, remember that roads may be closed within the precinct. Allow plenty of extra travel time due to the increased traffic expected in the precinct before and after the event.
When leaving, choose a pick-up location away from the immediate area around the stadium to avoid delays.

Sydney Olympic Park Car Parks
Visit Sydney Olympic Park – Parking to secure your parking space ahead of the match – available until 11:59pm the night before the event unless sold out prior. A flat rate $35 parking fee will apply.
If you have pre-booked a space, follow the directions of staff and have your parking ticket ready to show at the car park entry.
Carpool with your group and allow plenty of additional travel time. Use Silverwater Road, Holker Street and Hill Road to get to your car park and avoid the heavy traffic congestion expected at the Homebush Bay Drive roundabout.
If you haven’t pre-booked, follow the variable message signs within Sydney Olympic Park to the best available casual parking.
Traffic delays are expected after the match as attendees leave the precinct.
Train Station commuter parking
A number of key train stations have large commuter car parks, so consider parking at a station near you then continuing by train to Olympic Park.
- T1 Western Line: Seven Hills, Blacktown, Rooty Hill, St Marys, Emu Plains and Penrith.
- T1 North Shore & T9 Northern Line: Gordon, Thornleigh and Concord West.
- T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line: Sutherland and Kogarah.
- T8 Airport & South Line: Padstow, Revesby, Fairfield, Warwick Farm, Glenfield, Holsworthy, Macarthur, Campbelltown and Leumeah.
