Getting to the Hunter Valley
The Hunter Valley is located in the Newcastle and Hunter region of NSW, around 160km from Sydney
Intercity trains
Central Coast & Newcastle Line train services run from Sydney's Central Station to Newcastle suburbs, and Hunter Line train services run between Newcastle and the Hunter Valley towns of Maitland and Singleton. The Hunter Valley is within the Opal network. You will need an Opal card to travel on Intercity train services.
Regional trains
NSW TrainLink Regional train services run to Hunter Valley. The Armidale XPLORER and the Moree XPLORER run daily from Sydney and stop at Maitland, Singletown, Muswellbrook, Aberdeen and Scone.
The Brisbane XPT and Casino XPT also run daily from Sydney and stop at Maitland.
Getting around the Hunter Valley
